Established in 1927 by Jack Ahern as a vehicle service outlet, Aherns grew from strength to strength during the following decades becoming main dealers for Vauxhall cars and Bedford trucks. Jack's nephews Mick and John took over during the 70’s and developed the business changing franchises to Opel and Mitsubishi during the early 80’s.

Going from strength to strength, Aherns built up a very loyal customer base. Mick's sons Pat and Paul joined the company in the mid-1990s. On realizing the potential of their business they immediately set about seeking a new location to launch what is one of the most modern and customer friendly car dealerships in the country.

Situated on a 5 acre site on the Tralee Road, The new state-of-the-art premises is now home to Opel passenger and commercial vehicles, BMW, Mitsubishi Fuso trucks and a VTN commercial test centre.

The dealership is ideally located in the heart of the county only 10 mins from Tralee, 15 mins from Killarney, 5 mins from Farranfore and 20 mins to West limerick and north Cork.
