Subjects
Junior Cycle
We offer a broad subject range to meet the needs of a diverse student intake. The subjects on offer at Junior Cycle are English, Maths, Irish, Science, French, Geography, History, Business Studies, Home Economics, Art, Religion, Computers, Woodwork, Metalwork, Physical Education
Technical Graphics, Civic, Social and Political Education (CSPE) and Social, Political and Health Education (SPHE). In addition to this the new Well Being programme is implemented as per Department of Education.

Senior Cycle
We also offer a wide range of subjects to Leaving Certificate level where our students have 4 Science based subjects available to them.
These subjects include: Mathematics, Irish, English, Religion, Physical Education, Social Political and Health Education (SPHE), French, Design Communication Graphics, Geography, Construction Studies, Art, Agricultural Science, Enterprise, Home Economics, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Business, Accounting, Physics, Applied Maths, Career Guidance and Computers.
Physics is on offer in the school for all 5th year students in our community, including students from other schools. (FREE of CHARGE)

The school has a very strong progression to third level.
Students have achieved coveted places in the Royal College of Surgeons, Medicine and Pharmacy in University College Cork, Physiotherapy in University of Limerick, and Engineering in UCC among others.

Transition Year Programme

The Transition Year programme is running in the school since 1996.
Transition Year is a one year school based programme between Junior and Senior Cycle. It is designed to encourage independent self-directed learning required for the Senior Cycle. Some aspects of Transition year include:
• Introduction to the Working Environment
• Research and Project Work
• Subject Sampling
• Encouragement of creativity
• Increased Maturity
• Entrepreneurial Exposure
• Nurturing of self-learning
• Development of new Skills.
All subjects on offer for all students. Gaisce Award, Foreign trip, Public Speaking, Drama, Information Technology, Enterprise and Young Social Innovators Programme, Bond Traders, Planet Savers, Aberdeen Angus, Oral elements of languages to name but a few….

• Two fully equipped Science Laboratories with the latest state of the art equipment including the most up to date technology. All the Science Subjects on offer Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Agricultural Science

Last year we won the O Callaghan cup in football.
